I currently work for the NHS within a Chronic Pain Service in addition to my private practice. I have had additional training working with Long term health conditions and Chronic pain, I have been a specialist in this area for 6 years. I have also had additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which I utilise and use in my sessions. I am accredited by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies. I am professionally trained to help and support many emotional difficulties including:  Long Term Health Conditions and Pain, Depression, Social Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Health Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and  Specific Phobias.

In addition to the individual therapies I provide, I also have experience developing and delivering group work and workshops such as stress management and improving wellbeing workshops, Pain management programmes and other group therapy. I have a wealth of experience of delivering therapies in different ways such as via the telephone and video conferencing (Microsoft Teams/ Zoom).

My approach

I am extremely passionate about my work and am committed to continuing to develop my own knowledge, skills and experience in order to enable my clients to achieve their own goals. The first part of therapy would be to hopefully put you at ease and feel comfortable. I do this by setting your own goals individual to you, managing expectations of therapy. I am always non-judgemental, empathic, compassionate and approachable. CBT is a very collaborative therapy so this means we work together as a team to work towards your goals and gain a mutual understanding of your main difficulties. This will allow us to  agree a best way to move forward and address your difficulties.
