Welcome
I’m Sheena, a BABCP accredited psychotherapist (CBT, ACT & EMDR) with seventeen years experience and over a decade specialising in chronic pain and women’s health. I also have chronic pain myself. I swim in cold water in the Peak District and I use essential oils as part of my daily nervous system practice. For years I kept the clinical and the holistic completely separate. I don’t anymore. This is Science Meets Soul practice, this involves evidence-based therapy paired with lived, embodied wisdom. CBT and cold water. ACT and essential oils. EMDR and the medicine of nature. Because healing is not just clinical. And you are not just a diagnosis. I built this practice because I needed it to exist. And because the women I work with deserve both the science and the soul.
Four Pillar Approach
PILLAR 1 — UNDERSTAND
Pain science, nervous system education, and evidence-based psychological tools — CBT, ACT, and EMDR — to help you understand what is happening in your body and why. Knowledge is the first step toward power.
PILLAR 2 — RECONNECT
Values work, identity, self-compassion, and grief for the woman you were before. Coming home to yourself — not to who you were before your diagnosis, but to something more authentically, honestly you.
PILLAR 3 — RESTORE
Holistic practices with real science behind them — cold water, essential oils, breathwork, nature, grounding, ritual. Where your whole self enters the room. Not instead of the clinical tools. Alongside them
PILLAR 4 — RISE & THRIVE
Values-aligned goals, meaningful living, and the deep knowledge that you are not your pain. This is the destination. Not pain-free — but free. Living a full, connected life alongside your pain, not defined by it.
